The teaching guide "The way of Whaling"

The teaching guide "The Way of Whaling" developed jointly by the school and Piarres Larzabal Albaola Ciboure, brings together approximately 30 educational initiatives related to the appreciation of the Basque Maritime Heritage.We are dedicated to enhancing the cooperation between schools and museums and the construction of the San Juan serves as an important educational project.

Our guides will introduce ESO activities developed within the school curriculum classes  during the school hours and visits to heritage centers.

Visit to the Faktory

Secondary school students will have an unique opportunity to learn about the sailing in the 17th century through witnessing the live building of a replica of the Ship San Juan. Our knowledgeable guides will take the students around the shipyard so they will get a chance to learn about the seas,Basque heritage and the artisanal world in a direct and interactive environment. For your convenience, the guided tour is available in four languages: Basque, Spanish, French and English.
