EVERY DAY THERE IS A CHALLENGE THAT I HAVE TO SOLVE” Martin Arata (USA)06/8/2019
FROM USA 2 MONTHS AS A VOLUNTER WITH US
It was three years ago when his wife brought a group of students to the museum, that Martin found out about Albaola Itsas Kultur Faktoria. That is when the idea of coming from the USA to volunteer started to shape up and that’s how he let us know last year that he wanted to come. Finally, this year he crossed the Atlantic and he came to us. In the sea factory, he makes the pullyes for the whaleship San Juan. He says that working in Albaola challenges him every day. The materials, the different pieces…there is always a new challenge to meet and those are the ones that keep Martin motivated. The hand work and the challenges he has to meet every day are the things that make Martin feel fulfilled. He also thinks that the working ambiance and the people in Albaola are the best. That is why he wants to encourage people to volunteer in Albaola.
